Summer 2023 has come to a close. And what a summer it has been. The lifts have shut and the weather has seemed to turn simultaneously. As town quietens down, restaurants and bars also close their doors to give their staff some well-deserved rest.

This summer, we saw the lifts stay open for longer, opening at the beginning of June until the 18th of September. Our small town greeted flocks of bikers each week, coming to tear up the Portes Du Soleil area with friends.

In June, the Spartan Race returned to our front doors, with competitors enduring a gruelling obstacle course that took them through the middle of town, scaling Nyon waterfall and back down Pleney to the finish line to collect their medals! We also welcomed back the Tour De France, where the 14th stage finished in Morzine. Spectators from all over watched the riders speed up Rue De Bourg and past the finish line at the Office de Tourisme.

The Mont Blanc rally then roared through town at the end of August! Before the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup took place in Les Gets in Châtel, bringing mountain bikers from all over Europe together to cheer on their favourite riders and watch Benoit Coulanges take the win on his home turf!

It’s been a busy summer for all. But for now, it is time to relax before the winter season kicks off. Which we must admit we are already excited for!
